Song Hongjun, Ph.D

Senior Researcher (Executive Board Director) of SDIC Fund Management Company Ltd. Previously as international expert of robot modulization workgroup of ISO Board of Standards, Associate Professor of Shandong University. Visiting Academician in Beijing University in 2014. Visiting Academician in Singapore Nanyang Technological University in 2015.

He has devoted in research of intelligent control, visualization and cloud computing of robot for over 10 years and has participated in about 20 projects (leader of some projects). Dr. Song is the earliest researcher of middleware technology of robot in China. In 2014, he cooperated with Shanghai Jiaotong University in hosting the National Science-technology Support Plan Project “Research and Application of Real Time Operating System of Service Robot”.

As the backbone, he initiated and undertook the National 863 Project “High Performance Quadruped Bio-robot” when he was in Shandong University. From 2012 to 2014, he designed the core control algorithm of industrial robot, stimulation system of off-line programming and operating system of robot for Shanghai STEP Robotics Corporation. In 2015, he was the Board Director and Technical Director of Aubo Robotics China, in charge of R&D of new generation light collaborative robot, which was the first domestic robot having passed CE and UL authentication, and is the No. 1 in the collaborative robot field in China, with some expansion in European and American market.

Dr. Song joined SDIC Fund Management Company Ltd. in 2016, in charge of R&D on industries, technologies and policies, supporting operation of fund and development of the company. He is involved in raising of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Collaborative Development Investment Fund and Advanced Manufacturing Industry Investment Fun (Phase II), as well as in project demonstration of over 40 projects as the Member of Technical Committee.
