Yuan Chenyin, Ph.D

General Manager of National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center. Graduated from Tsinghua University, Doctor of Mechanical Engineering of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. YUAN was the Vice General Manager of BJEV, responsible for strategic planning, international cooperation and advanced battery technology development.

Dr. YUAN acted as a Senior Researcher of General Motors Global R&D Centre from 2005 to 2010, responsible for technologies of manufacturing of advanced battery. He joined BJEV as the Vice President of its Engineering Institute in 2010, responsible for new energy vehicle power battery system. He was selected in 3rd batch of The Sea Poly Project of Beijing Overseas Talents in 2010.

Besides, Dr. YUAN was honored as Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award and of SME in 2010, Outstanding Young Manufacturing Leader Award of SAE in 2010, Boss Kettering Award of General Motors, Chairman’s Honors Award of General Motors. He has 25 patents, 8 technology invention of General Motors, nearly 30 papers and 1 academic monograph in journals such as IEEE and ASME.
